Have you ever needed to collect that one last quest item to complete your Epic quest, but couldn’t because you were out of Fatigue Points?
Or even worse, needed that one last block of EXP, but ran out of Fatigue Points before you could level up? If that ever happened to you,
you’ll be happy to know that the old Fatigue Point system is GONE!

With the new Blitz Points system, not only can you play for as long as you want, but you’ll be rewarded with bonus EXP!

I'm going to miss those days raping my fatigue bar. Now I look forward to ridiculously inflated prices and everyone at level 40 within the day of character creation.

I am so ecstatic ya'll don't even know...

Wait a minute, is this Dungeon Fighter Online or did I accidentally check a thread about Maplestory?

    What is this I don't even >_>
  4. Bernelli Death By Revolver

More like prices dropping due to even more items in circulation. You want to know what's going to inflate? Avatars.

Avatar prices increase, yeah. But now that we will be seeing more purples in the auction, it will be easier for rangers (like me) to find an affordable purple revolver.

"Because north america doesn't have the 'limit players to certain amount of play time per day so they can study law', we can now mess with core game mechanics".... good job nexon, good job -golf clap-

    -runs off puking-
  7. How is this a bad thing though?
  8. Bernelli Death By Revolver

Removing a restriction that was only there because of Korean regulations is not a bad thing, and I can't comprehend why you apparently think it is. Granted, the FP system never really bothered me, but I certainly wouldn't say no to this.

It was nice having the FP system. It meant more fairness between those who can play a lot (and burn all the FP) and those who have far too much spare time on their hands.

And it will get endlessly abused. Yay for trying to force random hellmode by constantly going in and out of dungeons!!

    Put it this way...
With FP system, people play a maximum 156 (+ n room, depending on last dungeon). This created a system imposed balance for all players. Those that plays regularly is relatively at par with those with no life. Majority of the balancing (rares, for example) are balanced for the limited FP setting. Now, with FP system gone, several things will happen:
    1) those that plays regularly will no longer be able to keep up with those with no life. Both exp and loot will be heavily skewed towards those spending more time in game.
    2) the untradable looted aside, those that plays substantially more will now control the market, causing an upset in economy, causing inflation and deflation in various things.
    3) furthermore, this change sets a precedent that nexon will be happy to modify the game's core balancing mechanics for short term user base rise. This tells us that we can expect more balance upsetting changes in the future, which may not be the most desirable choice for the future of the game.

iPad is hard to type long coherent messages, so I'll just leave it here for now... Maybe I'll expand more on why this is bad when I get home later tonight.

They unbalanced maplestory badly, and it makes me delighted to see they're willing to do the same to DFO!
  12. ^^@Heidi: There is no point to having a fatigue system in Dungeon Fighter for North America, since we don't have any laws regulating online MMOs.

Well, if you think about it, what is stopping those people with no lives from being able to hop on alternate characters? Gold sellers won't be affected by this. If anything, prices should DECREASE (exception: avatars), since people will have to price competitively in order to make sales.

Honestly enough, people who are screaming that this will wreck the economy, don't seem to realize that people will grind for rares, decreasing the price of said rares.

e2: according to Somefool, DNF DOES have unlimited fatigue. So take that as you will.

Your entire post is more or less invalidated because of a simple thing known as having multiple characters.

And this, really now? Granted, they all eventually got to higher level and realized it didn't really get in the way later on, but the removal of the FP system was something that has been asked for since day one.
  14. Hiroshi dat smirk

So they replace a system that somewhat balances the game for different gamers with a system that rewards hardcore gamers? Something kind of went wrong there...

Edit: FYI, Arad actually has a "battery" that saves unused FP which then gives you bonus EXP for a certain amount of FP depending on how much you have saved.
  15. chiisana Noobtacular

Wrong. Multiple characters does not yeild the same benefits as one single character with bonuses, which Nexon is clearly making. Furthermore, what I did not include in the original reply, this promotes heavy "single-character" mode, which results in lesser variety (ie: no longer people go to play their joke char witch, since their lawn chair is no longer limited by FP), resulting in more cookie cutter clones.

Also, not to mention battery system that was brought up.

Publishers can only please so many people, and will always offend some. Degenerative patch or not. Oh well.
  16. gongfuren GongJiZhe

Holy crap, Nexon actually took notice. This is progress.

    My excitement level has risen.

Except, farmers from China's Jail Labor Camps, and bots do not use weapons, or gears. So rised repair bills doesn't affect them... Let's be honest here, there are always those people with random keyboard mashing for names (look at this crappy name here, chiisana, wtf is that?) and running around with blues and whites that are broken and unrepaired...
  18. BlanixTheBlood Perfect hair

Well, at least they tried. Farming in general is just getting worse now.

This ALMOST make me play dfo again... Too bad IP ban is still on effect and not willing to pay for a Proxy (Yet)
