representing the best class in DFO

welcome to the Mechanic's general thread.
  2. Drift What? I have a title?

I know they're hated, but L>PvP build - I can't find anything decent via google and have almost no PvP experience. From what I've read, Land Runner, Secret LR, Robotics, Ancient Memory, Backstep and Quick Rebound, along with no G3 or something - don't know anything beyond that.

this is the build i would go with. pvp mechs are very tight on sp and you can't get everything you want. if you want max ancient memory or indomitable will, you can take sp from g3/factory, temperster, and landrunner. however, no G3 means no factory, not leveling tempester means it'll die easily, and not maxing landrunner means they die easy and do less damage.

Doesn't G3 boost the rest of the G series? Or is that only female mechs?
  5. CasualHero New Member

it does, but pvp mechs don't care about g series. 1 level in g2 is all you need.
  6. Rawrrr Bitch.

But wouldn't the increased time on the G series be better? I understand about sp limitations, but it would be useful.

What is a good PvE build for Mechas who want to PvP on the side?

    Are the following skills needed:
    -BBQ
    -Silver Bullet
    -Grenade >level 1
    -Punisher
    -Windmill

Screwing around with the PvP mech build mentioned above gave me a PvE/Utility/PvP-lite build. How does this look?

Also, what Mech skills scale well enough to warrant putting SP into, or rather what Mech skills should I only put the minimum into?
  8. CasualHero New Member

max nades is required if you want to pvp
  9. Zacewing Creepy stalker type thing

Mechanics don't need Windmill. If you want to PvP, you should grab BBQ ad grenades. Silver Bullet is nice to have, since you'll be using autoguns most of the time and you can use Silver Bullet to make your xxxing worthwhile.

Punisher is great for PvP. It will let you pin down your opponents so your Landrunners can get to them, or while your Timebomb's countdown is ticking and you don't want them to run away.

windmill is fine. it's nice against slayers who ashe fork you while you're standing up. (doesn't work on gs blademasters though, f&^* their superarmor ashefork)

Hmm im debating on getting silver bullet and BBQ but since you guys are saying silver bullet makes the shots worth while should that stay at level 1? Im kinda neglecting to get BBQ because of punisher and i do not know if its worth getting gatling lvl 1 when i barely think about using it. (I used to be launcher switching over) So having some bad tendencies of acting like a launcher. But do I really need bbq? If so is it okay to hold off till later levels or should it be like a must get now skill? Plus can I leave it at level 1?
  12. CasualHero New Member

bbq is mainly used to set up for other things. i would say it's a required skill for all gunners
  13. 2bninja Get high on life

BBQ is the basic combo starter-its the eziest combo starter in the game
and silver is really good too.
  14. Tempest New Member

Silver is fine at lvl 1. BBQ is lvl 1 for all gunners. If you're pvp max g-14 too.
  15. Kateya Pro Flame Kicks

So i figured screw bbq and so far ive been doing pretty damn good with out it. Its different I suppose but its working i just need to build more around my punisher combos I believe.

So, I've been looking into Mech Drop, but there isn't very much documentation. The only reasonable depth information has come from the Arad Senki Wiki, however it is still pretty empty. Anyone know what the mechanics behind Robots surviving the initial attack, the probability of what special robots appear, and other such things? Also, does leveling it up increase these chances?
  17. Gloomy dicks

In my experience, no. However, leveling Mech Drop does increase the special robot level and their damage and stun rates. Mech Drop is worth leveling for these, those melee bots can be devastating, permanently stunning things for you.
  18. ゴド Atomyk Ebonpyre

To add to that, the amount healing robots do is increased as well. I have mech drop 2 from set bonus, Mana relaxer and Healing radar heal for 552 rather than 500. or something along those lines.
  19. Rdogg Code Kirin

By the time theres enough sp the gunner nerf may be in effect making the G series less reliable.

    Can mechs rock muskets?
I PvP most of my time and i use windmill (5) and mach kick (3) alot, which people run into alot for some reason. ._. I also picked up Steyr.
So, would the INT loss from switching to a musket be devastating?
